War Child Charity

February 13, 2009

February 16th and 24th, War Child and their record label partners at Parlophone and Astralwerks will be releasing an amazing new collection of cover versions called “WAR CHILD presents HEROES”, an album to benefit the WAR CHILD humanitarian organization. WAR CHILD is an award-winning charity that provides humanitarian assistance to war-affected children in some of the most devastated regions of the world.

War Child asked Paul to name a member of the current generation to cover his song “Live & Let Die”. He chose Duffy and is proud to announce this new version can now be heard on War Child’s most ambitious album to date…..HEROES!

Note from Sir Paul McCartney—

“I have been a supporter War Child since 1995. Their work with children in war zones saves lives and their work with those who take decisions that help them to do something about it saves even more lives, The breadth of talent on this project is amazing; it’s great that so many people gave their time, energy, and support to this initiative. I urge everyone to support War Child.” – Sir Paul McCartneypaul-macca

No wedding for Sir Paul! Not yet!

February 1, 2009

In a recent chat with Howard Stern Sir Paul publicly stated that—No one should not want to be alone! men like like romance. He does love romance anyway,”

“Things don’t always work out,” he added, refusing to indulge Stern’s listeners with too many details. “I like the idea of trying to be reasonably dignified and I don’t think it helps to really go mouthing off all the time. So in truth what I am trying to say is I don’t really talk about that.” —Paul McCartney.
